Artist's Comments

My favorite color is purple so when I saw this picture on the web I had to paint it and see how it turned out.

Thank you very much. I love the purple. You never see anything quite like a purple sky.

Agreed, it is truly a magnificent colour. No wonder it's loved by so many.

Wow this is amazing!

I love how you did the transition of the sun through there. Makes the painting feel very real.

And those rocks and boulders must have taken forever.

Thank you so much! I love getting positive feedback.

The rocks actually didn't take as long as you'd think.

It took a good month to fully dry though.

I've never played around with oils, actually.

Never knew they took long to dry. I heard they're awfully smelly though. I still want to give them a try one of these days.

And You're Welcome ^_^

It depends on the brandname. The more well known the brandname is the more smell they give off haha.

You should try them! They're not as hard as they look.

Just make sure to get oderless paint thinner to clean your brushes or your going to feel so sick from smelling the paint thinner. That is the nastiest smell, trust me.
:iconbluebird595:
HAhaha,

It's just like cheese. The better the cheese, the smellier it is. =P

I will though. I just have to find some kind of art supply store one of these days. So far I'm relying on my school's stock of acrylics.

Haha. I wouldn't buy the good brandnames. They're nothing to go crazy about. I find the cheaper brands can get the job done just as well. Oil paints are rediculously expensive but not in off brandnames.
